Our fee structure is based on a premium standard of service, with the flexibility to incorporate additions through our “plus” options. Invoicing occurs post-match and pre-placement. To guide you in your decision-making and comparison with alternative care options, we offer a breakdown of our fees, both annually and on a monthly basis.

Additional Costs & Conditions
Intake fee video call : €129 (only first placement)
Intake fee home visit : €149 (excl. 0,25 km and parking costs).
* The Intake (video meeting) is a legal obligation for the first placement of an au pair. To view your house, Au Pair room and discuss all legal boundaries of the program. Next to this we find it important to meet you and get a feeling of your home and family.
The Au Pair needs a go and return ticket before the program in the Netherlands may start.
In case of a Match on our platform:
Au Pairs are responsible for the average Go and Return flight. The Au Pair does an initial contribution during the application proces. We request the Host Family to prepay the remaining part upfront. Host Family may waive the prepaid part of approx.€350 at the end of the program. As Au Pairs are not allowed to pay for their screening and the law obliges agencies to screen all Au Pairs, our Host Families are requested to cover these costs.
In case of a Match on another platform:
We request the Au Pair to pay for their full go and return flight costs before travelling to the Netherlands. As Au Pairs are not allowed to pay for their screening and the law obliges agencies to do screen all Au Pairs, our Host Families are requested to cover these costs.
If the case that the Au Pair is in the Netherlands on an Au Pair Residence Permit and needs or wants to leave the current Host-Family, another Host Family can take over this Au Pair. HBN will need to screen and check the new Host Family on all legal obligations and follow an legal procedure. The take-over costs depend on where the Au Pair is from and the amount of the time the au pair can still stay in the Netherlands.

This event fee is included in our support fee.
We include these fees because we know it is essential for the succes of our Program.
Our welcome training is organized on a monthly basis for all our newly arrived Au Pairs and we organize 3 yearly events.
Additional Services
Rematch Warranty included: The HBN Full Service Plus includes a free mediation ( Mediation, Support & Care fee) in case a rematch situation should happen within the first 4 months.
Rematch Warranty:
You can also take out the rematch warranty if you do not want to take out the Plus Service as an extra insurance. A rematch can happen to any family so we do recommend you to take this out.
Year fee: €300
Extra fee for Au Pair Platinum: €250
You can choose for Au Pair candidates who have a higher level of qualifications. These Au Pairs also receive more benefits.
Extra Requirements:
*Had another full Au pair experience in another country or
*More than 1000 hours childcare experience/working as a full time nanny or in a kindergarden
*Above the age of 21 years old

We cannot emphazise enough that a good personal click is most important.
First Aid Course Specialised in Kids First Aid: €65
HBN facilitates a first aid course for all their au pairs to be joining at the beginning at their program. We recommend families to offer this to their au pair .
Sometimes upon arrival or within the first 3 months the Au Pair experiences some difficulties in adjusting to the Dutch routine. If needed we can offer a special one on one training for your Au Pair. We can invite your Au Pair to the office and we go through whatever your Au Pair needs more help with.
Fee per session: €149,-
Sometimes upon arrival or within the first 3 months the Host Family and Au Pair experience some difficulties. Mostly in communication, cultural difference, expectations which can create huge misunderstandings, wrong assumptions and therefore difficulties in building up the relationship. We can plan an extra mediation session.

If you are searching on another platform and you have 2 Au Pair candidates you like. We are able to screen and interview both candidates for an extra fee: €150,-
Discounts & Membership
When using our NON EU HBN Match (Plus) service, we like to appreciate your loyalty to us with an extra discount on our mediation fee.
Second placement: 10%
Third placement: 12%
Fourth placement: 15%
Fifth & More: 20% & Platinum Family
You may choose to become a Gold HBN Family if you start your third placement after 2 successful placements and sign up for 2 more years with HBN. As a Gold HBN Family you will receive a yearly discount of 15% on the yearly mediation and you will receive all the extra HBN Plus Service conditions; Rematch warranty, Gold au pair and extra support & guidance.
You will be a Platinum HBN Family when you have 4 successful Au Pair placements and you start your fifth placement with HBN.
We would like to express and appreciate your loyalty to us and the program.
- You will receive a nice Premium Family gift.
- You will receive a yearly discount of 20% on the yearly mediation fee and you will receive all the extra HBN Plus Service conditions; Including Rematch warranty and extra support & guidance if needed. If you will match with an Au Pair Plus this will be without extra costs .
We love it if we are referred by you to other potential host families. So that is why we like to reward you when you do.
